Logo and Branding Redesign

MORE INFO
One in a Million is a redesign project. The client approached me to revisit the original logo that was liked but not integrating well with the additional information she later wanted to include. “Publishing” and “Melbourne and New York” are, after all, quite lengthy additions to an already long business name and what had been attempted with the original design was not working. Two reasons that stood out to me were a lack of synergy between the font choices, and the very fact the logo was intended to stand on its own.

This gave way for me to dive into the powerful approach to branding that variable logo design provides: one core logo concept that can adapt to serve the vast and ever-changing print, screen, and technical requirements brands have to accommodate in today’s world.

This rendition of One in a Million was born from the concept of making the reader (often young children) feel special and loved. The logo intends to be bold, warm, and approachable. And the result is a visual identity that is both professional and inviting.

The client later changed the visual direction for this brand, and although liked, this solution no longer fit the brief.
